RECE Centre Supervisor
Hello Everyone, It is great to be at Cedar Creek with all the beautiful families! I started my career in early childhood education about 10 years ago when I received a diploma in early childhood education, and then obtained my Honours Bachelor's Degree. Two years ago, I helped open up Creek Childcare's first centre, Hickory Creek as the Supervisor. I went on Maternity leave October 2023, and I'm now in the supervisor position here at Cedar Creek. My career so far has been full of much fun, love, joy, and a little bit of crazy, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I look forward to being there for you all and watching your children flourish.

I love getting to connect with all of the children and educators and jumping in to help keep things running smoothly. Whether I’m helping with routines, joining in play, or just being an extra set of hands, I aim to bring a calm, easygoing energy and create a positive environment wherever I am!

Hi! My name is Chloe and I’m new to the field, switching from healthcare to childcare. In my spare time, I love to read, spend time with my family and cook. I’ve always loved working with children but after having my son, I decided it was time to get out of my comfort zone and take the leap. Everyday is so much fun as I watch your children unlock their potential, learn and develop new friendships. I’m so excited to learn and grow alongside your children!

Hi My name is Miss Olivia, I’m Portuguese and have 2 dogs named Bailey and Finnegan. I also have a cat named Chico and a gecko named Carlos. My favourite food is sushi and my go to hobby is pickleball in the nicer months and staying in a reading a good book in the colder months.

Hello, my name is Taylor. I am an outgoing person with almost ten years of experience in the childcare field. I recently left my role in childcare management to be more present with the kiddos in the classroom. I am passionate about supporting children’s growth through play-based learning. I love to spend time outdoors with my husband and my dog, playing fetch and going on hikes. I also love to colour and spend time with my nieces and nephews.

Hi my name is Brittany, I’ve been working as an RECE in the feild since graduating from Niagara College in 2019. I joined the Creek childcare team originally at Hickory Creek, but have recently joined the Cedar Creek team in August! In my free time I enjoy crafting, reading and spending lots of time outdoors, whether that be camping fishing, hiking, or anything else in between! I’m looking forward to watching each and every one of the children in our care grow and learn throughout their time with us!

Hello, my name is Melissa but I often go by Mel. I am a proud mom of 3 kids, two Dogs and 3 cats. In my spare time you will often find me out on adventures with my family, listening to some “oldies”, going on road trips to find the best parks and the best foods. From an early age I have loved caring for children; from being the family babysitter to graduating from Mohawk college in 2012. Just recently I have returned to the field after taking a few years off to be a stay-at-home mom and raise my children. I look forward to working with your children; to teach and watch them grow through programming and exploration!

Hi there, my name is Jessica. I was born and raised in Smithville, but currently residing in Beamsville. I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and an Advanced diploma in Child and Youth Work. A fun fact about me is that I am fluent in French! In my down time, I enjoy painting, reading, and spending time with my loved ones.

I’ve been working in the field since graduating in 2019, and I truly love what I do — helping little ones learn, grow, and explore the world around them. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me outside, soaking up fresh air and making memories with my family.
